What TnCee does

TnCee adds a mandatory Terms & Conditions checkbox to checkout. Customers must agree before completing an order, and their agreement is timestamped and recorded on the order.

What we store

Our database stores only what's needed to keep the app installed and running on your store: your shop domain and an access token (used to call the Shopify Admin API on your behalf). We do not store customer names, emails, or any other personal data in our own database.

Consent records — whether a customer checked the box and when — are written directly onto the order itself, as private data only our app can read, and to Shopify's own order records. This data lives in your Shopify account, not on our servers.

App settings (checkbox text, your Terms & Conditions link, enabled/disabled state) are also stored on your Shopify account, not in our database.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share data with third parties.
• We don't use customer data for marketing or advertising.
• We don't track customers across other stores or sites.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall TnCee, we delete our stored access token for your shop. Because we don't hold customer data in our own database, there's nothing further for us to delete on a customer's data request — that data lives on the order in your Shopify account, governed by Shopify's own data policies.
